Iranian short ‘Goodbye Olympic’ to be screened in US

Iran’s short ‘Goodbye Olympic’ is to go on screen at the 2020 West Chester filmfest in the US.

Directed by Mojtaba Pourbakhshi, Iranian short ‘Goodbye Olympic’ has been selected to go on screen at the 16th West Chester Film Festival in the US.

The film is Pourbakhshi’s first directorial experience.

A brief synopsis for the short title reads, “A girl is a champion of kayak waiting to leave for the race, held in France, for the Olympic qualification. The departure of the kayaking team will be canceled due to the emergence of various problems”.

‘Goodbye Olympic’ has already attended a number of international events, including the Triste Para Sempre (Sad Forever) Film Festival in Portugal.

Ramin Rastad, Farajollah Golsefidi, Houman Javadi, Mehri Alaqa, Tahereh Amouzadeh, Asghar Sandousi, Morteza Ghadiri and Maryam Jahani are some of the flick’s cast members.

The West Chester Film Festival hosts international short films that are up to 30 minutes.

The mission of the festival is to entertain and educate the public through innovative short films that are presented.

The fest will be held on April 24-26, 2020.
